Homeschool Day at the Minnesota Zoo

Come spend a day at the Minnesota Zoo. We have set aside a day for home school students to visit the zoo and learn more about wildlife in tropical regions around the world!
Receive an activity book with a Tropics Trail scavenger hunt, puzzles and locations to collect a stamp at each station. A variety of activities have been designed for students of all grade levels.
Homeschool Outdoor Discovery Day: Climbing Wall & Archery
Spend the day outdoors at the Settlement seeing if you can hit a bulls-eye and scale a 25 foot climbing wall. During the Archery program participants will shoot compound bows at traditional and 3D targets. All particpants must have a signed climbing wall waiver. All equipment provided. Bring a sack lunch. Ages 8-16.

Homeschool Candlemaking
Homeschoolers will step back in time to learn the art of candlemaking. Create hand-dipped, hand-rolled and cookie-cutter candles. Beeswax and soy wax will be provided. Reservations required.

Spend the morning learning archery basics from a NASP instructor. Learn range safety and proper shooting techniques at the archery range. All equipment provided. Reservations required.

National Park Week - Free Entrance to All US National Parks
To celebrate National Park Week, the Department of the Interior has suspended Entrance fees for all National Parks from April 17th-April 25th.
