My name is Julia and this is my 4th year selling items at the Makers Market. I love crafting things that are both useful and pretty. My sewing creations this year include:
- Cloth napkins – new this year! My family switched to cloth napkins this year to try to cut down on waste. These washable, re-usable napkins come in a variety of fabrics and are perfect for at-home use and when taking lunches to school and/or work.
- All-natural flannel rice heating/cooling pads – These can easily be warmed in a microwave or conventional oven, and provide soothing warmth for aches and pains, or simply to warm up on a cold winter day. The lavender-scented ones are especially nice for relaxation and sleeping. They can also be stored in the freezer for a soft and flexible ice pack.
- Hair scrunchies – These come in a variety of fun and pretty fabrics for everyone. The flannel and sports-themed scrunchies were a big hit last year with the guys!
- Reusable hand warmers – Think "Hot Hands" but softer, prettier and, best of all, reusable! These are perfect for Minesota's long winters and easily fit in the pockets of jackets and jeans.
