Preschool Adventure: Winter Birds - Westwood Hills Nature Center
DESCRIPTION: Winter is the best time to learn about the birds that stay here in Minnesota all year long. Join a naturalist and learn why some birds don't migrate and what their lives are like in the cold and snow. We'll see a puppet show, do a short bird watching hike, learn some of their calls, and get a chance to meet a resident red tailed cardinal up close. Please dress for the weather.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are not officially registered for this event until the organizer receives an acknowledgement that you received your payment instructions which will be emailed from admin@homeschoolrecess.com. To acknowledge receipt, simply forward your payment instructions to the organizer, whose email address will be included in the instructions. (Forwarding your entire payment instructions email will ensure that the organizer receives enough information to determine who you are in the registration database.)

ADDITIONAL CANCELLATION INFORMATION:
* The organizer will be confirming our attendance numbers with the location on the morning of Friday, November 27, and Thursday, November 26 is Thanksgiving Day, so if you must cancel after Wednesday, November 25, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your family's reserved places and for letting me know about the substitution.
* Please cancel via email NOT by canceling your registration via the web.
* If you find that you must cancel on the day of the event, please let the organizer know as soon as possible. You can reach the organizer by email or phone until the event begins.

DIRECTIONS: The nature center is located just south of I-394 and east of Highway 169.
From Hwy. 169, exit on Cedar Lake Rd, turn right (east), go 1 mile to Texas Ave (first stoplight), turn left (north) to Franklin Ave (first stop sign), turn left, go approximately 4 blocks to the Nature Center entrance (on right hand side).
From Hwy. 100, take I-394 west followed immediately by the Louisiana Ave exit.
From I-394 west, exit on Louisiana Ave. At the top of the hill, turn left, cross over bridge, turn right on Wayzata Blvd (frontage road) for approximately 1/2 mile, turn left on Texas Ave for approximately 1/2 mile, turn right on Franklin Ave, go approximately 4 blocks to the Nature Center entrance (on right hand side).
From I-394 east, exit at General Mills Blvd, turn left onto General Mills Blvd, turn left on Wayzata Blvd (frontage road) for approximately 1/2 mile, turn left on Texas Ave for approximately 1/2 mile, turn right on Franklin Ave, go approximately 4 blocks to the Nature Center entrance (on right hand side).

* The NUMBER OF PLACES TO RESERVE must equal the TOTAL NUMBER OF CHILDREN in your family/group regardless of age, including paying and nonpaying, participating and non-participating children!!
