#17 Judging a homeschool group too quickly...
It's a story that happens too often-- a new family goes to park day or some other public function to check out a homeschool support group, and the group is not what they hoped, so they write the group off forever. But here's the other side of the story:
- The family came to the park and played near the homeschool group without ever saying hello, because they expected the group to reach out to them, and left in a huff because they were "unfriendly".

Southwest Georgia Homeschool Association Annual Used Booksale and New Homeschoolers Meeting
The Southwest Georgia Homeschool Association will hold its annual used book sale and new homeschoolers meeting from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Friday at Harvest Temple Church of God, located on Fussell Road. The community sale is open from 2 p.m.-3 p.m., with an informational meeting for new homeschoolers from 3 p.m.-4 p.m.
Attendance does not obligate visitors to membership, but does provide information about getting started with homeschooling both in Southwest Georgia and the state. Many longtime homeschoolers plan to be available to answer questions.
