Established in 1974, The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Paul specializes in the medical care, rehabilitation, conservation, and study of eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons. In addition to treating more than 800 birds a year, The Raptor Center also provides training in raptor medicine and surgery for veterinarians from around the world and works to identify emerging issues related to raptor health and populations. The Raptor Center reaches more than 250,000 people each year through public education programs and events.

Parking is available in Gortner Ramp on the northwest corner of Gortner and Fitch (kitty-corner from The Raptor Center) and at metered street parking in front of The Raptor Center.

The Raptor Center is located on the Saint Paul campus of the University of Minnesota, just west of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

From Minneapolis: Take I-94 east to to the MN-280 exit on the left. Drive north on MN-280 to the Larpenteur Avenue exit. Turn right onto Larpenteur. Drive past the Cleveland Avenue intersection to Gortner Avenue; turn right onto Gortner. The Raptor Center is on the southeast corner of Gortner Ave. and Fitch Ave.

From St. Paul: Take I-94 west to the MN-280 exit. Drive north on MN-280 to the Larpenteur Avenue exit. Turn right onto Larpenteur Avenue. Drive past the Cleveland Avenue intersection to Gortner Avenue; turn right onto Gortner. The Raptor Center is on the southeast corner of Gortner Ave. and Fitch Ave.

From 35W: Take 35W to Highway 36 and exit at Cleveland. Take Cleveland south to Larpenteur Avenue and turn left. Take Larpenteur to Gortner Ave. and turn right. The Raptor Center is on the southeast corner of Gortner Ave. and Fitch Ave.
