The Ethel Berry Room can be configured in different ways to meet the needs of different types of groups. Groups may apply for room set-up or AV equipment.

Hennepin County Library provides community gathering spaces in order for groups to come together to learn and exchange information and ideas. Public gathering places are made available to the public regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use. Permission to use a public gathering place does not constitute an endorsement by Hennepin County Library of the program or point of view expressed. Availability is on a first come first-served basis.

Commercial activities are prohibited including collection of admission fees or tuition, sales of products or services, direct fund raising activities, gambling, games of chance, bingo, casinos or wagering of any kind. Gathering places cannot be used for purely social purposes which include but are not limited to parties or events (e.g. weddings).
