Description

Learn about the Sand Tiger Shark in depth at this special workshop with a special focus on the individual X, one of the Sand Tiger Sharks at Sea Life Minnesota.

Learn about the habitat and range of the Sand Tiger Shark, how common they are, what food items they eat in the wild, how large they grow and their physiology etc.  Then learn specifically about X, a Sand Tiger Shark at Sea Life, including how the aquarium obtained X, where he came from, how he was transported to Sea Life, how the staff specifically care for him at the aquarium, what his size is, what his diet in captivity is, things you have to be careful with in keeping a Sand Tiger Shark in captivity, and also learn about some other aquariums that have Sand Tiger Shark here in the United States. 

We will spend 1-1/2 to 2 hours in a variety of interactive tasks learning specifically about Sand Tiger Shark. Please plan for an additional hour hour to explore the aquarium on your own after the program. 

Parents are invited to join thier children for this fascinating program, but are not required to do so.

Parents also have the option of purchasing only admission to the aquarium for themselves and any unenrolled siblings, but this must be done at the time of registration. Admission-only tickets cannot be added at the door.

Please follow each step carefully to ensure your registration:

   If you don't receive this email, please check your spam folder. Contact the organizer if you are unable to find it.
2. Send your payment promptly, preferably the same day that you register.
3. When the organizer records receipt of your payment, you will be emailed a payment receipt from "admin [at] homeschoolrecess [dot] com." If the payment deadline is approaching, and you've sent your payment but haven't received a receipt, please contact the organizer.
4. If the organizer doesn't receive payment by the deadline, your name may be removed from the registration list.

If your circumstances change and you find that are unable to attend, please let the organizer know as soon as possible via email.

No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. If you must cancel for any reason after the cancellation deadline, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your family's reserved places and for letting the organizer know about the substitution. Reimbursements will be handled privately between you and your substitute.

Please plan to arrive no later than 12:15pm in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the organizer, visit the bathrooms and otherwise prepare for our program to start promptly at 12:30pm. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. If you find that despite your best efforts, you are running unavoidably late, please let the organizer know! You may reach the organizer by phone, text message or email on the day of the event.

Where to meet:

Please meet the organizer by the main entrance to Sea Life, at the top of the escalators. Do not check in at the reception desk. Do not go down the escalators. 

The organizer will be wearing a bright yellow hat and a Homeschool Adventures button. Please retrieve your receipt and name badges from the organizer when you arrive as this is how she will check-in participants.
