Description
Learn about the Bowmouth Guitarfish, an elasmobranch species, in depth at this special workshop.
Learn about the habitat and range of the Bowmouth Guitarfish, how common they are, what food items they eat in the wild, how large they grow and their physiology etc. Then learn specifically about the Bowmouth Guitarfish at Sea Life, “Lola," including how the aquarium obtained Lola, where she came from, how she was transported to Sea Life, how the staff specifically care for her at the aquarium, what her size is, what her diet in captivity is, things you have to be careful with in keeping a Bowmouth Guitarfish in captivity, and also learn about some other aquariums that have Bowmouth Guitarfish here in the United States.
We will spend 90 minutes in a variety of interactive tasks learning specifically about Bowmouth Guitarfish and then have another hour to explore the aquarium on our own.

- If the organizer doesn't receive payment by the deadline, your name may be removed from the registration list.
Cancellation information

If your circumstances change and you find that are unable to attend, please let the organizer know as soon as possible via email. ---- No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. If you must cancel for any reason after the cancellation deadline, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your family's reserved places and for letting the organizer know about the substitution. Reimbursements will be handled privately between you and your substitute. ---- If you find that you are unable to attend on the day of the event, please let the organizer know as soon as possible.

Please arrive by:
Please plan to arrive no later than 12:45pm in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the organizer, visit the bathrooms and otherwise prepare for our program to start promptly at 1pm. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. If you find that despite your best efforts, you are running unavoidably late, please let the organizer know! You may reach the organizer by phone or email on the day of the event.
Where to meet:
Please meet the organizer by the main entrance to Sea Life, at the top of the escalators, unless directed elsewhere by the staff. The organizer will be wearing a bright yellow hat and a Homeschool Adventures button. Please retrieve your receipt and name badges from the organizer when you arrive as this is how she will check-in participants.
