The 3rd Annual UWWG (Unschoolers Winter Waterpark Gathering) will be held again at the amazing Kalahari Indoor Waterpark Resort & Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio February 8-12, 2010. Keynote Speaker JOHN TAYLOR GATTO! (See Presenters page for further info. on John and our other UWWG speakers) Our UWWG gatherings are for families who homeschool in a non-traditional, non-schoolly-schoolly child-led, interest-based homeschooling approach. Whether you consider yourself a relaxed, eclectic homeshooler or a radical unschooler, our UWWG Gatherings are for you! Imagine getting away from the cold, dark, short days of winter and entering into a world filled with thrilling water slides and coasters, relaxing hot tubs and plenty of fellow unschoolers and life learning homeschoolers. The Kalahari Waterpark Resort includes everything from wave pools for surfing and boogie boarding, to giant water slides and thrilling water coasters. There is even a large kiddie play area for our littlest unschoolers. The Kalahari is the largest indoor waterpark in America! As if being a premier waterpark resort wasn't enough. It is also Ohio's largest hotel with 884 rooms and Ohio's largest private convention center!! Kalahari boasts four restaurants, a night club, a full service spa, gift shops, a large game room, putt-putt, bowling, and more. That’s not all….. There will be plenty of opportunities for families to connect with other unschoolers. Throughout the week there will be lots of funshops for all ages and over a dozen talks / discussions on unschooling and gentle parenting, including a Presentation and also a workshop by John Taylor Gatto! Add in a Winter Carnival, talent shows, movie nights, plus an unforgettable night of dancing in their Grand Ballroom, and you have a week that can’t be missed!!
