Underwater Adventures Homeschool Days at the Mall of America
I just wanted to pass on the word that on September 28th - October 1st we are having Home School Days here at Underwater Adventures Aquarium! We are going to offer homeschoolers and their families a walk up rate of $5.50 for anyone over 12 and $2.50 per child under 12.

Homeschool Days: Minnesota’s Fur Trade
Fort Snelling was closed in 1858, but when Fort Sumter was attacked, Gov. Alexander Ramsey offered troops to President Lincoln. The fort reopened and became the entry and training point for all of the 25,000 Minnesota volunteers who fought in the Civil War. Learn about their experiences, technology of the period, the war in Minnesota with the Dakota, and how slaves at Fort Snelling in the 1830s influenced the lead up to the Civil War.
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fee: $5 per person/day , $18 for series; MHS members $4 per person/day, $14 series

Homeschool Days: Health & Medicine at Fort Snelling
Fort Snelling had the first hospital in what would become Minnesota, but the story of health and medicine in Minnesota doesn’t start there. Take a journey through the history of medicine in Minnesota, from frontier remedies and cures, to army doctors during the Civil War, through medical advances during World War II.
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
